Growing up, I was surrounded by a pervasive silence about financial management—no one in my family or community discussed it, and schools didn’t teach it. This ignorance took root, leaving me financially unprepared and vulnerable. By the age of 30, I found myself a single mother of three, broke, bankrupt, and without even a car to drive. At my lowest point, I made a powerful decision to break the cycle of poverty that had gripped my family for generations. What I didn't realize then was that the transformation began with a shift in my mindset. I started asking questions I never knew to ask, seeking the knowledge that had always eluded me.
Today, I’m on a mission to help others rewrite their financial stories, just as I rewrote mine. America is finally recognizing the vital importance of financial literacy, but too often, this awareness comes too late—after school, after debt has piled up, and after the rat race has already begun.
Fueled by determination and guided by faith, I founded FIIT Perspective, a financial education firm committed to empowering individuals to achieve financial freedom through education. My purpose is to speak, teach, and inspire, changing lives by fostering financial independence for all.
